The Bluegrass Club is proud to present, Louisville Conclave 2012!
Some say the rolling hills and horse farm-dotted landscape were made for Healey driving. Others say the Bourbon Trail and country cooking keep them coming back for more. While still more think the overflowing southern hospitality and charm of the Commonwealth makes for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation getaway. We just like to call it home!
Come find out what happens when the Future 50 Network Chairman switches hats to become Conclave Chairman! We’ve taken your traditional events like the Popular Car Show, Gymkhana and Funkhana and combined those with our own special brand of fun, fun, fun! Make plans to attend the biggest Healey party of the year as we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the introduction of the Austin-Healey and all the fantastic things that make owning a Healey so much fun!
Sunday
On Sunday we leap out of the gate, literally, as we venture to historic Churchill Downs. Home to the greatest two minutes in sports, this breathtaking venue will host the Healey faithful on Millionaire’s Row for a full lunch buffet and day of racing that includes a special Healey Memorial Race. Ladies, bring your hats and gentlemen, dress to impress. Our Day at the Downs is the start to an unforgettable week. Sunday night, join us for the Opening Ceremonies. These aren’t your grandpa’s Opening Ceremonies. See what happens with generations collide for an all-out launch party that will stretch in the early hours of the morning. Join us as we welcome you to the Bluegrass and then party the night away and dress appropriately with a 50’s
Prom!
Monday
On your mark…get set…GO! To the Gymkhana for all the wheel-screeching fun that one can handle. This Conclave standard is sure to get your blood flowing. Also available that day, Louisville’s Museum Row, park once and walk to amazing venues located in the historic cast-iron façade buildings.
Monday night join us in your brightest Healey-wear as the Future 50 Network hosts the party Our Future’s so Bright we Have to Wear Shades! This Rompus Room party will knock your socks off with music and entertainment courtesy of the Future 50 Network
Tuesday
Louisville rolls out the welcome mat for the Car show. Located on the beautiful Waterfront Park, an award-winning new development on the doorstep of downtown Louisville. With beautiful vistas of the river and skyline and walking distance to museums, shops and restaurants with free trolley transporation, this is set to be a breaktaking car show location.
After the Popular Car Show, venture around the Urban Bourbon Trail or onto the shops and restaurants of NuLu or Bardstown Road. These quintessentially Louisville locations will keep you fed, watered and shopped for hours. After a day of beautiful cars and beautiful sites, be sure to make it back to the Rompus Room to keep the party going!
Wednesday
Wednesday is a day all for you! We’ve suggested the locations and the routes, you pick your poison. Whether the Kentucky Horse Park, Bourbon Trail or Mammoth Cave strike your fancy, the day is what you make it. Enjoy historic horse farms and homes, the world’s largest cave system, the home of the Corvette or a winding trail of bourbon distilleries that are sure to please, it’s all your choice! But, don’t be late for the Party Barn at Huber’s Orchard and Winery. Enjoy a country-cooking buffet combined with a winery and orchard. This little slice of heaven has a shop full of jams, jellies and local treats and a Barn dedicated to fun and food. This is one hoe-down you won’t want to miss!
Thursday
As our week comes to a close we have plenty of fun in store! Dr. John and Mr. French have combined efforts to find the most incredible rolling country roads and sites for our Rally. This day is dedicated to top-down fun in the heart of horse country. Our resident experts have prepared one of the most breathtaking Rallys you’ve ever seen and the stops along the way are sure to create lasting memories. As we draw our week to a close we go out with a bang, Mardi Gras style! Join us for one final bash as the brass band carries us through the night with music and beads.
